Lotus Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – White Peony Birds

The white peony birds theme is rendered here in a lotus scroll painting that favors grace over display. The ink settles into the silk with a softness that keeps every edge gentle. As a piece of serene chinese wall decor, it reads clearly from across the room and keeps giving on closer inspection.

In the middle distance, the birds anchors the painting's sense of place. Golden accents catch the light, lending the scene a quiet opulence. In the middle distance, the white peony anchors the painting's sense of place. The silk's faint sheen keeps the darks from ever feeling heavy. There is weather in this picture, even when the sky is clear.

For a home leaning toward ink wash painting, this scroll is a natural fit. It will sit comfortably beside other Asian art, or carry a wall on its own. It has the calm of something that will never go out of style.
