Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Winter Harvest Corn

Across the silk of this flower and bird scroll painting, the winter harvest corn theme plays out in classical tones. There is nothing hurried here; the brush takes its time, and so should the viewer. It belongs with the best of feng shui home decor, the sort that settles into a room from day one.

The artist lets the corn speak plainly, without ornament or excess. The sparrows motif is worked into the composition with classical restraint. The artist lets the rooster speak plainly, without ornament or excess. Painted with an easy, practiced brush, the winter harvest feels observed rather than invented. Snow settles on the pines, each needle mass tipped with white.

It keeps good company with the finest chinese silk scroll painting, the kind that rewards daily looking. It is the kind of piece guests ask about, and owners never tire of answering. It also makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who keeps classical art on their walls.
